| Prague - On Monday, 23rd of July 2001 was definitely a special day for children from 40 orphanage homes. The representatives accepted certificates, which prove a new record achievement. The record was made on the International Day of Children the 1st of June 2001. While dancing a traditional dance called "golden gate" there were 341 pairs of hands joining each other. There was a mascot of the founders of the Charity organization Time4Sharing.com that a kangaroo named Boomerang ran underneath those hands. The question as why a kangaroo is called Boomerang is explained by Dejana Drakulic from the Charity organization Time 4 Sharing.com: "A Kangaroo is a certain symbol of a motherhood and security thanks to its pocket where the kangaroo carries around its brood (young ones). And why Boomerang? That is because every good deed (action) you send out will be returned to you in a different way. Once you give love to those children, they will give it back in a large amount." The goal of this event "Day of Joy" was to enable an individual competition amongst children who can collect points for their own team - the orphanage home. The charity organization Time 4 Sharing.com has organized a total of four successful events. "The Day of Joy was not definitely the last event this year." Admitted Dejana
Drakulic. See the photo: the representatives from orphanages have accepted certificates proving the record achievement. "In this particular field the child dance is the most crowded event. The huddle (crowd) of children from orphanages have created a gate with joining their hands approximately 180 m long" said Josef Vanek from the Agency Dobry Den, which collects the Czech addition to the Guinness Book of World Records. |
