| Yesterday was a small fest
for the children from Dagmar orphanage organized by Time4Sharing and Platinum
International. Not only the children received gifts from the organizers and two very well known women and also one already well known new-born came between them. The guests of the afternoon were a sportswoman and world record breaker in pole-jumping Šárka Kašpárková with her partner Michal Pogány and daughter Tereza (the big photo). Another nice guest was the beautiful Iva Kubelková. She got on well with the children as you can see on the smaller picture. |

| "Promenade of stars above Prague" Feb 14, 2001 TRANSLATION ....... | ||||||||||||
 The
journey in the elevator lasted for a few minutes only for the doors to
open to the secretive atmosphere of Fromin club. It was the 14th of February
2001 at 8 pm, St. Valentines Day. We can think what we like of the custom,
but one we cannot deny. Besides celebrating the love for a fellow man,
it can also be a patron to love in general, for example the love for children
that were not so lucky to grow up in normal families. And while in other
nightclubs or benches in parks, in girly magazine fashion, lovers exchanged
stuffed animals or broken hearts on leather necklaces, in Fromin money
was raised for charitable causes.Platinum International organized a fund raising gala night and all proceeds were donated to the Time4Sharing charity fond. The goal of the movement is to donate time and money to children that still have not had much luck in life, the little tenants of orphanages. Among active participants and organizers of the fond are for example Ladislav Vizek, Jiri Pomeje, Michaela Kuklova, the director of Hypernova Supermarket Mr. Martin Hruška, magician Pavel Kozisek, fotographer Jiri Macht and others.  The
program was moderated by Jiri Pomeje, who came straight from the Plzen
premiere of his new childrens movie Z Pekla Stasti 2. At the beginning
of the evening gifts and mascote toys of the movie were given to the children.
A special appearance was made by Jiri Korn who sang a few song for "dance
and atmosphere" from his repertoire. A magician show was produced by Pavel
Kozisek with his lovely assistant and the audience was thrilled by a "cloak
and dagger" show….After the entertaining part of the evening, there came the moment everyone was there for. The auction of childrens works. Dr. Struma, director of Paprsek Center made a short speech before the auction explaining once again that the proceeds will be used to sponsor a chair for a handicapped girl from the center and for a week in the mountains for 25 children from a special school in Prague. After many dramatic competitions for authentic childrens works, the total raised sum went up to 35 000KC. |
